Joanne Jones BSc (Hons)
Marketing Manager
Jo is our Marketing Manager, with responsibility for advertising, digital marketing and social media strategies as well as the website and all other marketing and promotional related activities. She also brings to the organisation a wealth of experience in areas including operations, HR, product management and customer service.
Jo joined us in August 2009 following a ten year career in the learning and development industry. She spent nine years with Thomson NETg, the global leader in blended learning provision where she developed a wealth of marketing knowledge in a variety of product marketing and managerial roles. These skills were developed further during an 18 month contract at one of the UK’s fastest growing Microsoft Learning Partners – PPI Learning Services.
Prior to moving into the learning industry Jo’s other roles have included working as: a sports journalist for a regional newspaper; an IT support technician with BOC plc and a marketing/IT role with Finance Professionals (part of the Hydrogen Group).
Jo is an accomplished swimmer, and before embarking on her working career she represented Great Britain at the 1988 Seoul Olympics in the sport of synchronised swimming.
Jo is married to company director – Huw, and has two children – Dylan & Eirlys. When not in the office, Jo is mostly found ferrying the children to various sports clubs and activities. She also finds time from somewhere to be the chairperson of Minety Primary School Parent Teacher Association.
