Once again this year we have decided to make a donation to Helen & Douglas House rather than send Christmas cards. Helen House, which opened in 1982, was the world’s first children’s hospice. Douglas House was opened in 2004 to cater for the needs of young adults between 16 – 35.

They provide the time and expertise to care for children and young adults with life-shortening conditions and support their families. The two hospice houses offer specialist symptom and pain management, medically-supported short breaks and end-of-life care, as well as counselling and practical support for the whole family. You can find out more by clicking HERE.

As well as a donation in lieu of Christmas cards we have also committed to making a donation to charity for each client feedback form received. Almost 100% of respondents to our client feedback survey have selected Helen & Douglas House for this donation too! So we’re delighted to be sending them £260.00 in time for Christmas.

We’re hoping that once again this year, our donation will enable Helen & Douglas House to enrich the lives of the young people and their families that they work with, for the short time they have left together.
