We’re delighted to announce that we’ve been approved by The Institute of Financial Planning (IFP) as an Accredited Financial Planning Firm.  The IFP (the professional body for Financial Planners in the UK) awards this title only to firms which it has assessed as demonstrating the highest professional standards of Financial Planning service.

To successfully meet the criteria for approval we had to demonstrate that a comprehensive Financial Planning service is at the centre of the service we provide to our clients as well having as a clear fee structure.

We also had to demonstrate commitment to the IFP’s Code of Ethics and Practice Standards as well as having appropriately trained and qualified staff. All client facing advisers must have been tested on their Financial Planning skills at an advanced level, and at least 50% of registered advisers must be qualified as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^CM professional – a level that Huw Jones achieved in March 2013.

This accreditation is especially satisfying for two reasons. Firstly, very few Financial Planning firms in the UK meet these exacting standards and secondly coming so quickly after achieving Chartered status and meeting the requirements for BS8577 – the only British Standard for financial planning.
