BS8577 – again
We’re delighted to announce that Proposito Financial Planning has been awarded BS 8577 – again! BS8577 is the framework for the provision of financial advice and planning services from Standards International Ltd
BS 8577 is a British Standard designed to assess and award financial planning firms who can demonstrate that they have the operational framework in place to deliver a first class service to their clients.
(www.standardsinternational.co.uk). This is the sixth year that we’ve met these stringent requirements. It is a result of the hard work of the Proposito team – and reflects the high standards that we set for ourselves.
The service that we provide to our clients is of the upmost importance to us. We believe that to benchmark ourselves against the British Standard of best practice is vitally important. This year the business was once again subjected to a rigorous process of assessment. In fact, this programme of ongoing annual assessment by an independent certification body ensures that our processes and services continue to improve.
This is where we see the real value and benefit to BS8577. Having an independent auditor come in and go through everything we do with a fine toothcomb certainly takes us out of our comfort zone!
The assessor remarked:

The award on the 12th March 2019 makes us one of a small but growing group of financial planning firms in the UK to have achieved this prestigious award.
In addition, we are one of less than 30 firms in the UK that are both Chartered Financial Planners (Chartered Insurance Institute) and Accredited (Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments) as well as holding BS8577.
