Fairer ISA deals for consumers?

By Proposito Team

Consumers may soon be getting a fairer deal on cash ISA’s if the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) upholds a super-complaint issued recently by Consumer Focus.

The complaint considers the  £158billion cash ISA market to be unfair, with millions of investors losing out on interest because of the way the market operates.
It specifically focuses on a number of issues including the unacceptable time and unfair obstacles people face when trying to move providers as well as the lack of information provided regarding rate and account name changes which often confuse investors trying to research their existing accounts.

The OFT have 90 days to consider the complaint so watch this space for further details….
