This week many of us have been trying to cram five days work into three. During the short period of truncated trading the FTSE All Share index, representing the performance of all 623 eligible companies listed on the London Stock Exchange has finished the week at 3,155.03. That’s an increase of 5.51 points on the day and 30.67 points (0.98%) higher than its opening value on Tuesday.
So far this year the FTSE All Share index, which accounts for approximately 98% of the UK’s market capitalisation, has gone up 92.18 points from its’ opening price of 3062.85 at the start of trading on 4th January 2011. That’s an increase of 3.00%.
