Meet the Team (again)!

By Jade Shelton

We have recently had new team photos taken, so we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to reintroduce the team.

Meet Huw

Now we know most of you know Huw very well, but for those who aren’t so familiar, Huw is our Director and Senior Financial Planner. He is a Chartered Financial Planner, Certified Financial Planning professional (CFP™), a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and a Chartered Wealth Manager. He is a business coach, money coach and Registered Life Planner (RLP®).

Before qualifying as a financial adviser in 2001, Huw’s degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge led him to Reading School teaching maths. With a sharp eye for detail, fantastic analytical skills plus a love of problem-solving and numbers, Huw felt drawn to the financial services profession.

Today, Huw oversees the financial planning processes of Proposito. His expertise lies in the softer skills of coaching and helping his clients to identify what they really want out of life, only then will he begin to structure their money.

Meet Sarah

Sarah began working at Proposito in 2008. She has more than 20 years of financial services experience, starting out as an office junior and then becoming an administrator, a paraplanner, an adviser, then going back to working as a paraplanner (“the best job!”). She has worked in small, family-run firms as well as large nationwide chains.

She oversees the firm’s technical delivery, working closely with Huw and you as our clients to ensure you have everything you need to keep your plans on track.

Her day-to-day role as a paraplanner involves analysing client data, researching financial products, developing recommendations for clients, and building complex financial plans. In addition to keeping a close eye on technical developments and regulatory, legal, and legislative changes that impact our clients.

In addition, she is responsible for putting processes in place to ensure we are running as efficiently as we can and continue to do so.

Meet Jade

Jade manages the day-to-day administration at Proposito and is also involved in various projects. You have most likely
spoken to Jade in the past given that she was the first point of contact for Proposito, and you will continue to speak Jade in the future as she develops into her role as a financial planner here at Proposito.

Jade has more than eight years’ experience within the financial profession. She started her career as an office junior and worked her way up the ranks to where she is now.

She completed the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning in August 2021 which means that now, alongside her normal administrative work, she is more involved in technical work as she continues her financial planner training. She is also now undertaking exams to become a Chartered Financial Planner.

In recent months, Jade has taken on more responsibility in terms of assisting Huw in leading the refine meetings, and also being involved in all new client meetings, which is all helping with her progression.

Jade is looking forward to developing her skills and finding out what the future holds for her.

Meet Anne

Anne is the newest member of the Proposito team having joined us in March 2022, and assists with the day-to-day administration at Proposito, working on projects and the smooth running of the office. Anne will be your first point of contact here at Proposito, she is very friendly and always up for a chat.

Anne will be the person who books in all your refine meetings and will deal with all the correspondence between us and you. She also helps with managing the operations here at Proposito.

Anne has worked with numerous financial planners during her career, duties involving working on CRM databases, processing applications, arranging client meetings, sending out letters of authority and liaising with clients.

Since joining us in March, Anne has been utilising her skills in writing blogs for our client newsletter and doing some voiceovers for our YouTube videos.

Anne is looking forward to developing her skills within the business and learning more about the Proposito way.

So that’s us, in all our glory.

We hope that this has helped to identify each of our roles within the business.

We are always here to help and if you ever need to speak to us, we are only a phone call away.
