Our approach to money – Sarah’s Story

By Jade Shelton

As mentioned in the last couple of months, we as a team have been sharing with you our experiences with money and how it has helped shape how we approach money.

You will discover that none of us have been perfect (we are human after all), but we’ve found ways that didn’t work and we’re laying it all bare for you to read.

Today we are sharing Sarah’s story…

“As a child I was a good saver with my own mini lock box for pocket money and a record book to keep track…

As a young adult I started earning money and spending it…

In my 20’s, my relationship with money became a bit more responsible with my own flat and then the offerings began of credit cards…

In my 30’s, I progressed to a house with more responsibility and started thinking more about trying to save and keeping a budget when in reality just going from one month to the next…

Now I’m in my 40’s, I am moving into thinking how freeing being debt free would be and keeping to a budget thinking about the future, whilst still experiencing today and the things I want to do in life.”
