Persons with Significant Control (PSC)

By Huw Jones

Inform Direct (www.informdirect.co.uk) have written a series of articles on Persons with Significant Control (PSC).

From 6 April 2016 most UK companies, even those owned by a single person, must keep a Register of People with Significant Control (also known as a “PSC Register”). This new register, which will sit alongside the companies’ other registers, must list and give details of individuals or companies that are able to exert a significant control over them.

Just like other registers, the PSC Register will be available for public inspection. Most of the information included in the register will also have to be filed with Companies House.
