Looking back at the last 12 months, it has been a difficult year for many however we wanted to reflect on a couple of positives from this year for us.   

Firstly, Anne joined us in March, taking over the administration role from Jade. Anne is likely to be the person on the other end of the phone you speak to and has settled into the team really well.  

Second, Jade is now a Trainee Financial Planner and has been more involved in meetings with clients.  In 2023 Jade will be losing her “Trainee” title and taking the lead in client meetings with Huw. 

Finally, we have taken our experience of hosting video meetings over the past few years and have been working incredibly hard creating innovative ways to use video in delivering our financial planning service. Watch out for some of the great ways we’ll start using videos in 2023. 

The Market

The markets have been very turbulent once gain. We have had a perfect storm of Covid, Brexit, many Prime Ministers, and the Cost of Living. 

Each year at your Refine meeting we check that you don’t need access to capital for spending, put regular withdrawals into cash and then ask that you sit tight. When it comes to investing during short-term volatility our advice remains the same: sit tight and stay invested.

Refine Meetings 

We are still hosting the majority of our annual refine meetings via video or telephone call but we really would like to make more use of our beautiful offices.  So from January, we would like to start welcoming more of you to our offices in Cirencester for face-to-face meetings if this works for you.

The option of a video or telephone call will of course still stand but if you can come and see us instead, then we’ll pop the kettle on and get the biccies at the ready!

Christmas Opening Hours

We would also like to take this opportunity to let you know about our opening hours over the Christmas and New Year period.  

 We will be closing for Christmas at 4PM on Tuesday 20 December 2022 and re-opening on Tuesday 03 January 2022 at 9AM.   

 We have also taken the decision to hold our annual two-day business strategy meeting in the first week in January when we feel this is most beneficial to us and our client’s needs.  The office will therefore also be closed on Thursday 5 January and Friday 6 January 2023.
