This week we have been putting our full support behind the Financial Planning Week (FPW) initiative, by running a series of free events offering information, tips and ideas to the people of Wiltshire. On Friday we ran a very successful ‘Ask an Advisor’ drop in session at the newly refurbished Malmesbury Town Hall, where our team was on hand to answer a variety of questions posed on subjects such as Child Trust Funds, early retirement and taking retirement benefits, Inheritance Tax rules as well as general investment considerations. We also managed to hand out over 200 copies of the FPW ‘Ten Top Financial Tips to the population of Malmesbury, so hopefully we have made a small difference in helping to make people aware of the importance of Financial Planning.

Our final event of the week (10th september 2010, 6.15pm) is our ‘Understanding Pensions Seminar’ at Stanton Manor Hotel, Stanton St Quintin. One of our partners – Huw Jones will be presenting on a variety of pension related subjects including what is a pension, how to create a pension fund and what you can do with it. Everyone will have the opportunity quiz the team on pensions.
